Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize care using standardized triage protocols
- Utilize provided equipment (vital monitors, ECG, pulse oximeters) for rapid patient evaluation
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide clear communication to patients and families about care processes
- Maintain inventory and functionality of triage equipment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- Proficiency with triage scales (ESI, CTAS) and electronic health records
- Ability to operate diagnostic equipment (ultrasound, ECG, vital monitors)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-pressure situations
- Experience with patient flow management in urgent settings
