Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care urgency using established protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely disposition in high-volume settings
- Educate patients on home care instructions and preventive health measures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA)
- Minimum 2 years triage or emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
