Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Provide telephone triage and clinical guidance to patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Manage patient flow and department resource allocation
- Implement emergency protocols and crisis intervention strategies
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Valid NY RN license with current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- ACLS and TNCC preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR platforms
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
