Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine urgency of care needs
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans and disposition strategies
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear health education and guidance to patients and families
- Triage emergency and non-emergency cases according to established protocols
- Coordinate with specialty departments for seamless patient transitions
- Maintain precise records of patient interactions and outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and triage expertise in emergency/urgent care settings
- Exceptional communication abilities for diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in team environments
