Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine acuity level and prioritize care
- Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide education to patients and families about emergency protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate with ancillary departments for seamless patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Indiana RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong triage assessment skills and critical thinking
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- BSN or higher preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
