Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial patient assessments to determine acuity and urgency of medical conditions.
- Utilize clinical judgment and evidence-based protocols to prioritize patient care and treatment plans.
- Document all triage data accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and patients regarding patient status and care updates.
- Provide patient education and guidance regarding symptom management and follow-up care instructions.
- Monitor patient flow to ensure optimal queue management and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in emergency or urgent care triage preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
