Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial assessments of patients to determine medical acuity and urgency.
- Manage high-volume patient calls and walk-ins with a focus on triage protocols and clinical safety.
- Document accurate patient histories, symptoms, and triage decisions into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical staff to facilitate patient flow.
- Provide clear health education and instructions to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Monitor patient status in real-time and escalate critical cases immediately to the appropriate care team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with specific experience in triage or urgent care.
- Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound clinical judgments rapidly.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly preferred.
