Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine acuity and prioritize care needs effectively.
- Utilize advanced clinical judgment to recommend appropriate medical interventions or referrals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to alleviate anxiety during acute episodes.
- Manage high-volume phone lines and incoming inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Monitor patient trends and escalate critical issues immediately to the on-site provider.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience in an emergency department or urgent care setting preferred.
- Certification as a CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) is highly desired.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
