Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Assessments: Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and vital signs to determine the urgency of care and appropriate treatment protocols.
- Manage Triage Protocols: Utilize our Equipment Provided triage software and digital records to accurately log patient data and track care progression.
- Coordinate Care: Effectively communicate patient status and care plans to physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Patient Flow Management: Organize and prioritize patient arrivals to minimize wait times and ensure efficient use of clinical resources.
- Emergency Response: Recognize critical conditions and initiate immediate life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Education: Provide patients and families with clear instructions regarding follow-up care, medications, and lifestyle adjustments.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in emergency room or urgent care triage preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Excellent critical thinking, decision-making abilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
