Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate incoming calls and patient data to determine the acuity of medical issues and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Care Coordination: Facilitate timely referrals to appropriate specialists, ER departments, or primary care providers when necessary.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient interactions, symptoms, and triage decisions into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Protocol Adherence: Ensure all clinical decisions align with established medical protocols, HIPAA guidelines, and company standards.
- Education: Provide patients and caregivers with clear, actionable health education and self-care instructions.
- Call Management: Maintain high call-handling standards, minimizing wait times while ensuring quality of care.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate guidance and support during urgent medical situations until further care can be rendered.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage, telehealth, or urgent care setting.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and telehealth platforms.
- Empathy: Strong patient-centered approach with the ability to demonstrate empathy and active listening.
- Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to make quick, accurate clinical judgments.
