Irvine Community Health Partners is seeking dedicated Entry-Level Triage Nurses to join our expanding medical staff. As a Triage Nurse, you will serve as the first line of defense for our patients, ensuring they receive the right level of care promptly. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your clinical skills in a state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments via phone or in-person to determine acuity levels.
- Apply critical thinking skills to triage patients and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Document patient interactions and medical history accurately in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients on self-care, symptoms, and when to seek emergency care.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and primary care physicians as needed.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Current and active RN or LPN license in the State of California.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems (training provided).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new protocols.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are preferred but not required for new hires.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Nursing degree is mandatory.
