Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone and in-person triage to determine acuity levels.
- Make critical decisions regarding patient disposition, referrals, and emergency department transport.
- Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Provide clear health education and instructions to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the State of California (required).
- BSN preferred; Associate degree in Nursing with significant experience considered.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage, emergency nursing, or urgent care.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
