Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls using standardized protocols to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems following HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide clear, empathetic patient education on symptoms and next steps
- Manage high-call-volume scenarios with calm professionalism
- Participate in monthly quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license (or eligible for immediate issuance)
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Basic ECG interpretation skills (training provided)
- Excellent verbal communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- CPR/BLS certification (training available if needed)
