Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, video, and secure messaging to determine urgency of care
- Triage incoming calls and electronic inquiries according to established clinical protocols
- Provide clear, empathetic guidance to patients regarding appropriate care pathways
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Educate patients on home care instructions and preventive measures
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin RN license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work calmly in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
- Willingness to complete comprehensive triage training program
