Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine urgency of medical needs
- Accurately document patient information and symptoms in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop appropriate care plans
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families during stressful situations
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support emergency department workflow during peak hours
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
