Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and determine acuity levels in emergency settings
- Accurately document patient symptoms, vital signs, and medical histories in EHR systems
- Communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with social workers and case managers for patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
- Active NJ nursing license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided if needed)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
