Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone assessments to determine patient urgency and appropriate care level
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records with detailed documentation
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members per protocols
- Manage high-volume call queues while maintaining quality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to HIPAA and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state
- Minimum 1 year emergency/critical care experience (new graduates with training welcome)
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR systems
- Commitment to completing paid triage certification program
