Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on medical urgency
- Provide accurate telephone triage to incoming patients and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters using Epic EMR systems with precision
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and home management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency drills
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience (ER preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in electronic medical records
- Commitment to completing our comprehensive triage training program
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license for occasional off-site duties
