Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine medical urgency
- Accurately categorize patients using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to prioritize patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding care pathways
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support emergency department workflow optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state
- 1+ years of acute care or emergency nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Commitment to completing paid training program
- EMR/EHR proficiency preferred
