Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels in emergency settings
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed clinical documentation
- Provide telehealth triage services for remote patient consultations
- Implement emergency protocols for trauma, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
- Train incoming staff on departmental procedures and triage algorithms
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Commitment to completing paid training program
