Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and symptom analysis to accurately determine medical acuity levels.
- Execute established triage protocols to prioritize patient care and manage flow efficiently during peak hours.
- Document patient interactions, clinical findings, and care plans accurately and in real-time within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to facilitate timely treatment.
- Provide clear patient education and emotional support, ensuring patients understand their condition and next steps.
- Monitor patient status closely and escalate urgent cases immediately to the appropriate medical staff.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with specific experience in triage, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure, with the ability to remain calm in high-stress environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and triage software.
