Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Triage: Assess patient symptoms via phone, secure video, or email to determine the urgency of care and provide appropriate medical advice.
- Clinical Decision Making: Utilize clinical protocols and evidence-based guidelines to recommend appropriate treatment plans, home care instructions, or referrals.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document all patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication between patients and physicians, specialists, or emergency services when necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Education: Provide patients with relevant health education resources to promote wellness and prevent illness.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in emergency nursing, triage, or urgent care.
- Telehealth Proficiency: Proven experience or comfort with remote patient monitoring and telehealth platforms.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer systems, EMRs (Epic, Cerner, or similar), and remote collaboration tools.
