Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments via phone and secure video platforms to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Evaluate symptoms, provide triage advice, and recommend appropriate treatment plans or referrals to specialists.
- Document all patient interactions, medical histories, and care plans accurately and securely within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Identify potential health risks and provide health education to patients to promote wellness and prevent complications.
- Manage high call volumes during peak hours while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year specifically in a triage or telehealth setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, and clinical protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
