Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone and video triage assessments for patients presenting with acute and chronic symptoms.
- Apply clinical decision-making protocols to determine appropriate level of care (self-care, home remedies, ER visit, or provider consult).
- Document all patient interactions and triage findings accurately and timely into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide patient education and support regarding medications, treatments, and preventative health measures.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of Nebraska (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of acute care or triage experience required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications mandatory.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, specifically Epic.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Computer with high-speed internet and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
