Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and online triage assessments utilizing established clinical protocols and decision trees.
- Document patient histories, presenting symptoms, and care plans accurately and timely in the EMR system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care coordinators to develop optimal treatment strategies.
- Provide clear, empathetic health education and medication instructions to patients and their families.
- Evaluate and prioritize incoming calls to ensure critical cases are escalated to on-call providers or emergency services immediately.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to continuously improve triage protocols and patient satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with specific preference for triage, urgent care, or telehealth experience.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
