Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories via telephone and in-person triage
- Provide urgent care guidance and prioritize cases based on acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care instructions
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Florida RN license (required)
- Minimum 3 years emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems (preferred)
- Spanish language proficiency (highly valued)
- BSN degree (preferred)
