Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratories following strict protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations
- Provide exceptional patient care while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Tennessee state phlebotomy license preferred
