Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial patient assessments via phone or in-person to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Evaluate patient symptoms and medical history to provide appropriate triage recommendations and care instructions.
- Coordinate seamless handoffs to physicians and specialists within the facility.
- Document all patient interactions and triage decisions accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Utilize advanced telehealth equipment and medical devices provided by the organization to facilitate remote assessments.
- Educate patients and families on self-care management and follow-up protocols.
- Maintain strict adherence to clinical protocols, privacy regulations (HIPAA), and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical or triage setting.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to de-escalate patient concerns.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Experience with telehealth technology is preferred.
