Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize care in emergency settings
- Accurately document clinical findings, vital signs, and patient histories in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely interventions
- Provide clear communication to patients/families regarding treatment plans and wait times
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and reassess as clinical situations evolve
- Maintain compliance with emergency department protocols and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Current Florida RN license with minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in rapid assessment techniques and clinical decision-making
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse populations
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
- Ability to remain calm and prioritize in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
