Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity level and prioritize care in a high-volume ER setting
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Utilize EHR systems (Epic) for accurate documentation and tracking
- Provide patient education on treatment protocols and discharge instructions
- Manage bed assignments and coordinate patient flow through the department
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 3 years emergency room or critical care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or MSN preferred
- Exceptional triage assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
