Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone, email, or secure messaging channels.
- Determine the urgency of patient needs and route appropriate cases to urgent care, ER, or physician follow-up.
- Provide accurate health education and guidance to patients regarding symptoms and treatment options.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical findings in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Handle high volumes of inquiries during peak hours while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Stay current with clinical guidelines, protocols, and local health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada (NV).
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in triage, emergency medicine, or urgent care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficient in navigating computer systems and electronic medical records.
- Ability to remain composed and make sound clinical judgments under pressure.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
