Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans and coordinate emergency services
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide compassionate patient education on home care and follow-up procedures
- Manage high-call-volume environments with exceptional time management skills
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for emergency care protocols
- Supervise LPNs and medical assistants during peak patient flow periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications with current renewal dates
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling availability
- BSN or higher degree preferred
