Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Provide accurate triage categorization based on established protocols and clinical judgment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during critical decision-making
- Document patient encounters meticulously in EMR systems ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate seamless patient transitions
- Maintain calm and professional demeanor during high-pressure emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years of ER or urgent care triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Exceptional assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume, fast-paced environments
