Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient flow
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide telehealth consultations for remote patients
- Train and mentor new triage staff on department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR systems
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English/Spanish
