Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone or in-person to determine urgency and appropriate level of care.
- Provide medical advice, education, and triage instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists, urgent care, or emergency services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes during peak hours while maintaining high-quality communication.
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care or triage nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification is mandatory.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use EMR systems and computerized triage software.
