Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols (ESI, CTAS)
- Utilize electronic health records (Epic) for accurate documentation
- Coordinate with physicians to prioritize critical cases
- Provide education to patients/families on emergency procedures
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and state regulations
- Participate in rapid response and code blue activations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless care transitions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Experience with ESI/CTAS triage systems
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and point-of-care technology
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
