Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize care in high-volume emergency settings
- Accurately document medical histories, symptoms, and vital signs using Epic EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide clear communication to patients/families regarding wait times and treatment plans
- Maintain compliance with TJC, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years ER/urgent care experience with triage certification
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills for pediatric/adult/geriatric populations
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR and electronic triage protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
