Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental impressions and process radiographs accurately
- Manage patient flow and maintain immaculate operatory hygiene
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under supervision
- Implement digital charting and practice management systems
- Train new staff on clinical protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Exceptional chairside communication skills
- X-ray/Radiology certification (TX State Board)
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts with occasional weekends
