Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Review and resolve claim denials/rejections through follow-ups and documentation
- Manage patient billing inquiries with exceptional communication skills
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Generate and analyze monthly revenue cycle reports for operational insights
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy and documentation
- Maintain clean claim submission rates above 95%
- Utilize Epic or similar EHR systems for billing operations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient or specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
