Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial assessments of patient symptoms via phone or telehealth platforms.
- Prioritize patient care based on acuity levels and urgency.
- Utilize provided medical equipment to perform virtual or in-person evaluations.
- Document patient interactions and medical histories accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to recommend appropriate treatment plans or referrals.
- Educate patients on self-care and preventative health measures.
- Manage high-volume call volumes with patience and precision.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage or clinical nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and telehealth software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate patient emotions.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail in symptom analysis and documentation.
