Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases in emergency department triage
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide patient education on treatment protocols and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and administer emergency interventions as needed
- Coordinate with specialists for complex patient cases
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong triage assessment skills (Emergency Severity Index preferred)
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR systems
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- BSN or higher degree preferred
