Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive phone and online triage assessments for a diverse patient population, evaluating symptoms and prioritizing care needs.
- Provide appropriate medical advice, referrals, or facilitate rapid dispatch to emergency services when necessary.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and in real-time within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care.
- Identify complex cases requiring escalation and maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical protocols.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in triage, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Proficient in using EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make rapid, safe clinical decisions.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and the ability to de-escalate patient concerns effectively.
