Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine the severity of symptoms and appropriate level of care.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries efficiently, prioritizing urgent cases while maintaining a high standard of patient service.
- Coordinate referrals and appointments with specialists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care and resolve complex patient issues.
- Provide health education and guidance to patients and their families regarding preventative care and symptom management.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in triage, urgent care, or a call center setting.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to assess urgency effectively.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems and medical software.
