Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Provide clinical guidance via phone triage for urgent care patients
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and resource utilization
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and state regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee RN license (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
