Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize emergency cases based on acuity
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide telephone triage services for incoming patient calls and virtual consultations
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways and interventions
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases to senior staff promptly
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Michigan RN license with active BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress environments
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
