Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to elderly residents (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Administer medications under supervision as per facility protocols
- Document care accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments
- Support residents with meal assistance and nutritional needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- Active Florida CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in long-term care or home health
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks repeatedly
- Excellent communication skills and empathy for elderly care
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for documentation
