Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper techniques
- Support patients with daily activities while maintaining dignity and independence
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare team to implement care plans
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and equipment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Illinois CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in long-term care or acute setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate approach with geriatric or special needs populations
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
