Job Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. You will work closely with our providers to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including reviewing medical history and updating records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, following all safety protocols.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests (phlebotomy).
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage patient communications via phone and email.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and clinic policies regarding patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
