Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or Physician, following all safety protocols.
- Document patient progress, symptoms, and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and patients' families regarding care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, following facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Washington State CNA License.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
