Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments for patient use.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures as directed.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification.
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy) when qualified.
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding instructions and appointments.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) software.
